BIO: Nancy Parmar, Nurse Practitioner
Nancy started her nursing career working as a registered nurse in acute care settings. She developed
an interest in diabetes care and became a certified diabetes educator. She then went on and earned
Master’s Degree in the Nurse Practitioner program from the University of British Columbia.  She has
worked in various settings including education centres, hospital and in primary care. She is member of
lower mainland diabetes chapter and volunteers with Diabetes Canada on their diabetes education
line. She believes in empowering patients to help them feel in control of their diabetes.
